Keep it narrow
Pick one workflow that happens often and creates rework when it is done poorly.
Use this one-page template to turn a shop training problem into a 5-day sprint with daily reps, proof review, and a clear readiness decision.
Pick one workflow that happens often and creates rework when it is done poorly.
Use a real artifact: a script, checklist, repair order note, photo set, or handoff.
End the sprint with pass, repeat, or direct coaching so training does not drift.
Fill this out before the week starts. The sprint should be small enough to run during a normal shop week.
Each rep should take 15 to 25 minutes and produce something the trainer can review.
Choose the three checks that decide whether the proof is usable.
Skill Coach turns this template into daily assignments, proof review, progress status, and follow-up for a real shop workflow.
Before the sprint starts, define the proof artifact and review owner. A good artifact is specific: an inspection explanation, a customer handoff, a checklist answer, or a corrected estimate note. Vague goals like “get better at communication” are too broad for one week.
Use the sprint review to decide one of three outcomes: repeat the same workflow, raise the standard, or move to the next workflow. That decision keeps training visible and prevents the template from becoming paperwork.
